Aigooo~ I'm loving Jonghyun with one of the fics up in SHINee.net forum. I'm also thinking of having an Iple account. XDDDD Oh FYI, I still have Key as my SHINee, ichiban. XDDD

Speaking of Korean entertainment, there’s this thread on a SHINee forum on asking, which version of HYD is better: Taiwanese, Japanese or Korean. As to be expected, a lot voted for the Korean version but a good number also voted for the Japanese one. Meh, of course I voted for the Japanese one.

Maybe people can say that I voted for the Japanese version because I’m biased as MatsuJun was there. Well maybe they are partially right. Nevertheless, that’s not the sole or major reason of picking HYD over BOF/BBF.

Observing the people’s answers on that thread, most people who voted on the Japanese ver are those who had really watched all of the 3 vers or at some, even read the manga. Personally, I read the manga and comparing to the J-drama, the drama was very similar to the manga. Watching HYD, I felt that the manga characters were really brought to life especially Makino. I have to say that I’m really impressed on the 1^st season of HYD because in a matter of 9 episodes, they really showed the essential parts of the story and it didn’t go as dragging compared to what I’ve experienced on Meteor Garden.

Another point is that I’ve said is that the Japanese actors were better at portraying their respective roles. Not to degrade BBF but Jandi really fell behind my expectations as the “weed” of the elite school where she was in. There’s this one person said that there are more JandixJiHoo (MakinoxRui) moments than JandixJunPyo (MakinoxTsukasa). I agree with that at some point and that’s where the chemistry of the 2 main characters comes in. For HYD, Mao Inoue and Jun Matsumoto had really this strong chemistry within them and every time I watch their “hardship” scenes, I always feel that desire for them that everything will pass and they will get together again. As for the JunPyoxJandi, I didn’t feel it that much which I find really sad because BBF really has to revolve around the story of these 2 teen-agers. The only thing I’m disappointed in HYD is that the SoujirouxYuki love story wasn’t really developed that much. Why oh why. D: D:

Nevertheless, BBF had better-looking actors as F4. No offense, but I don’t like Tsuyoshi Abe the first time I saw him (but I like him now. XDDD) Also, the Korean version is not that bad considering it entertained me and I flailed a lot of times on Yi Jeong (he’s hot).

Didn’t you notice that I never touched the OST part? Well, I don’t want to comment on that as both Arashi and SHINee both contributed on their respective HYD versions (but Arashi’s part is bigger as theirs were the opening songs whereas to SHINee’s – theirs was only the insert song).

OMO OMO, I ranted too much over HYD and BBF.Now can we just go to the penguin?!

16th reason: Daiki is hyper

Whenever he's not sleeping, I find Daiki very active and talkative. I really like people who can be energetic and articulate the same time. Maybe it's because I can say that I have the same personality as him. I hope I can talk to him when I see him and not just me fainting or spazzing or flailing over him. :))

I love HYD Jap to bits. It's like for me, if you want to be sucked in Japanese dramas, this is one of the first dramas you should watch. It's an all-time classic for me. XDD

i gotta say i read a lot of HYD comparison lately on my f-page xD
i only watch the taiwanese (because it was broadcasted in indonesia) and the japanese one. I can not stand korean so i dont watch the BoF though i heard it was also good... anyway, i still prefer the japanese version, this might be the reason i loved japanese version drama of anything cuz they got fewer episodes and yet can capture the main escence of the dramas.. :3 ~~i heard the korean version is kinda altering the story in major ways?~~

That shop pic was I think on the Fuyu con? I don't remember. Oh your icon, I still remember that shot very well. :))

I loved how the makers of the 1st HYD put together the story withing 9 episodes. It's not an easy task to do because HYD is a long manga and what they did was they really just put the most essential parts of the story which made the 1st as really "packed" drama which is fine with me because I hate dragging storylines that I despised most in MG 2.

For the Korean version, I think entertainment wise, it does its job, but if you compare it to the manga, some of the scenes are not really capturing the manga version.

I know.. i loved how the drama is very... i wanna say efficient? xD I havent read the whole manga as well.. but seriously the MG-version is just uncomparable.. :X

The 1st MG for me is okay. I loved it the first time it was aired here. But MG 2... gosh, it's sooo different. If I remembered correctly, the manga back then wasn't very you know, reached enough storyline where it was enough for MG 2 to put it into life that's why the producers had to make a new story, which was horrible.

BoF as a drama is good if you forget that it falls under the HYD drama franchise. Just treat it as a separate drama all in all. But once it is compared to HYD, it just doesn't live up to that. Heck, I get goosebumps just remembering HYD's ost. I really think that drama is now a classic - something BoF never will be. BoF is merely a fad that will eventually faze out.

I also want to express my immense dislike for BoF's ost despite my liking for the artists who participated in it. :/ Having one boyband is okay, but heck, they're now using HYD as a way to promote their singles now even if the songs aren't fitting at all.

I loved Stand by Me (biased eh). XDDD But when I think about it, my liking for Stand by Me is lesser than what I had the 1st time I heard Wish.

For me, every time I get to know a newly converted fan and they ask me for a must-watch drama, I always include HYD. I still believe that it should be watched by everyone who loves anything Asian. Though there are people that I know who dislike the MaoxJun pairing, they can't deny that there IS a chemistry going on with these 2 which gave more life to the whole drama.
